  I went on a weekday in July the service was excellent the food was good the drinks rather expensive but a lot better than some of the well known restaurants in the town,

• Gone Downhill

  This always used to be one of the best places to eat out for lunch or go to for a coffee and cake. In recent years it seems to have gone downhill and could really do with being upgraded a little.It does offer a good menu offering a range of light lunchtime snacks such as baguettes, sandwiches and jacket potatoes but the quality was not great the last time I ate there. I have to say that I was dissapointed as the service and food always used to be top notch.Besides all that there is a great selection of home made cakes available and this seems to be their forte especially for the influx of market people on wednesday looking for coffee and cake.

  i went on a rushed monday bank holiday and was served food quite quickly but the quality was not up to restaurant standard and the benches were not that comfortable. a 2 star rateable place.
