Trade Bodies / Associations

We are Ofsted Registered (and were judged 'Outstanding' by OFSTED at our last inspection in February 2009). We are also a Member of the Pre-school Learning Alliance. Our Staff are fully qualified in Early Years Education. Lyn our Headteacher has a Foundation Degree in Early Years Education (Level 5). Helen our Deputy Head has an NVQ4 in Early Years Education. Debbie our Senior Nursery Nurse has an NNEB in Childcare (Level 3). Hayley our Nursery Assistant has an NVQ2 in Early Years Education.

We are a "Community" Nursery School, set up to provide safe and satisfying group play for the promotion of the education of pre-school children of Dorchester and district. We are a Registered Charity whose aim is to be of benefit to the local community.

My view of DCNS

I have had some great experiences of this nursery school. One of my boys left there 5 years ago and the nursery gave him a very good start for school life. Now I have another child there and he is doing just as well. They give the children the attention they need. The staff are great . They have a lovely area for them to play .
